Hi Berta, It's nice to get a comment, and thanks for the kind words. I grew up in Texas and almost all my jobs have related to oil. My first teaching job was at ELS in Houston and due to oil wealth guess where a lot of the students came from? Would you believe, Venezuela. It was my first contact with a lot of people from there, very sympatico. A little before your time though, mid 70's gasp!
Thanks again for leaving a message (my first one here :-))
Oppphhhsss, wrong page.
I apologize a zillion times, Vance. I thought I was at Cris´s page when I hit the "add comment" button.
Anyway, it is great to find this opportunity to say hi to you and to tell you I do admire you aa lot, have lerned tons from the Wenheads and hope to meet you f2f someday.
My husband, BTW, worked for a long time (26 years) in the oil industry here in Venezuela and I guess many of your present and past students have been related to oil too, have they not? I used to work in the training and development center of the oil industry here in the 80´s. Not anymore, though. Times have changed drastically, as Daf may have told you.
All the best and I apologize for my mistake again and again,
Berta
Dear Cris, how great to meet you again here.
How´s England nowadays?
I am quite excited to be teaching an EFL writing course where I set up the content for the first time IN YEARS and there is no supervision whatsoever. I feel stressed but thrilled at the same time.
BTW, I looooooove your skin here. I guess you brought it from your files. It is awsome.
All the best, Berta
